Right Now Honda counts on two semihybrids in its range, the Insight and the Civic Hybrid. The second has received a small update, essentially an aesthetic since there is no change in the hybrid system. It is commercialized in two versions, Civic Hybrid and Civic Hybrid Navi Skin.
The prices are from 24,900 and 28,800 Euros, respectively. The main price is superior than the previous version. Even so, it continues being a little cheaper than the Toyota Prius II, that is ending its commercial life.
Externally these versions are different, and we are talking about the bumper, the rims, the grill, vision groups and anti-fog lights. On the inside it is only different the upholstery of the seats and the handle from the intermittent ones, that now the freeway function has (signaling of change of track with a touch). The rest remains inalterable.
When we compared Civic Hybrid against the Toyota Prius, we concluded that, although Civic Hybrid is cheaper, its consumption of gas is superior, that´s a weak side. When the new Toyota Prius arrives in market, the first one (Civis Hybrid) woul be disadvantaged, due to the Toyota will surpass in consumption about 0.6 to him l/100 km and the price will be so similar.
